Arriving in Los Angeles to settle the estate of a mother he never knew, Jack Kendle is befriended by Tony, a bellhop working at the hotel. Overhearing Jack on the phone talking about the fiancée who just dumped him, Tony persuades Jack to introduce himself to the leggy bombshell whose cab happens to arrive at the same time. Caught up in her own drama, Lisa rebuffs Jack’s bungled attempt at chivalry. Later in the evening, Tony suggests the hotel lounge over a local restaurant. Taking his advice, Jack goes back upstairs where he finds Lisa at the bar. Is his luck about to change? Will he find true love after all? Or is it all a scam?
